SINGLE ‘ROMEO’ OUT NOW ON ITUNES
EP ‘ATOM BOMB’ RELEASED 3RD JUNE

Watch out world, here comes Single By Sunday a four-piece pop/punk rock band with guitar credibility from East Kilbride, Glasgow.  Formed in July 2015 they already command an enviable social media following, an amazing 56k+ Twitter followers, 14,000 + Facebook likes (Verified) and 2,539 YouTube subscribers.Managed by Kendell Smith who recorded and toured with The Specials in the mid-90s, the band blend the fun and excitement of early Busted records with some Scots swagger, and have been lapping up advice from anywhere they can get it including Kendell’s ex-bandmate Neville Staple. “He told us we should keep our energy level full throttle. We take our influence from early Specials shows we’ve watched online. We just want to write songs that we can jump around to, and hopefully everyone else will want to jump around to as well.” Says Josh, lead singer of the punk pop outfit.

With a level of pop sensibility and an infectious catchiness to their songs, the band list a wide range of influences such as Blink 182, The 1975, 5SOS, Paramore, Green Day and the list goes on. Comparisons are already being drawn between S.B.S and the likes of McBusted and The Vamps. They are also referred to as the “Glaswegian 5 Seconds of Summer” by their legion of super fans. “We don’t mind that at all” Jonny adds “They’re all great bands doing what we want to be doing; touring, recording and entertaining their fans.”

Although currently unsigned the band have not gone unnoticed. Capital FM named them as Scotland’s best unsigned band, and as winners of #CapitalsOneToWatch competition they got to play the prestigious Scottish Music Awards in aid of Nordoff Robbins. The band also recently performed on the main stage at StereoFunk Festival (Glasgow) as a guest of Jim Gellatly and has made it to the finals of the Scottish heat of Hard Rock Rising 2016 where they will perform on 1st June at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Singer Josh Ladds, 22 said: “Our manager Kendell always says ‘gig like your life depended on it…but have fun’. We met Paolo Nutini at the Tartan Clef awards and he said he liked our energy and hunger. He said that it was ok for us to make mistakes, so long as we learnt from them. He was such a nice man to meet. We were slightly in awe of him”.

Their debut EP ‘Get Up Get Out’ is out now and features two heart-thumping joyous pop rock songs ‘Single By Sunday’ and ‘Get Up Get Out’. Since the release of their debut EP at the end of 2015, the band have been busy working on new material as well as playing to a growing fan base. Their follow up EP ‘Atom Bomb’ is due for release June 3rd and they have just released single ‘Romeo’ on iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/romeo-single/id1105477011.
